Women & Peace in Myanmar: Documentary screenings and debates
Discover a series of compelling documentaries about women living in conflict zones followed by a panel discussion.
The panel will be composed of:
– Daw May Sabe Phyu, Chair of AGIPP and GEN Director
– Lway Poe Ngeal, Secretary General of Women’s League of Burma
– Khon Ja, Co-founder, Kachin Peace Network
– Mr. Aung Ling, Peace and Dialogue Technical Advisor from Gender and Development Institute-Myanmar
– Nu Nu Hlaing, Film director of Mother at Arms (Yangon Film School)
Under the moderation of Su Myat Mon, journalist at Frontier, the 5 panellists will discuss the ways women are affected by conflicts and women’s involvement in the peace process.
