The event will be held in English.
This briefing session on current issues in the politics of Myanmar will present policy-relevant findings based on social scientific research that is being conducted within the framework of CRISEA, and primarily within Work Package 4 ‘The State: Contesting the Liberal State.’ The session will be chaired by Professor Tomas Larsson (University of Cambridge), and include the following presentations:

Professor Kristian Stokke (University of Oslo): “Electoral Performance and Party-building Processes among Ethnic Parties in Myanmar’s Kachin and Shan states”
