Agendas

Twice a month, the IFB media library organises youth workshops for French-speaking and non-French-speaking members aged 6 to 13. These workshops can be creative, educational or recreational in nature. They are led by artists, specialist speakers, teachers or members of our team. 

Launched in 2016 by the Institut français in Paris, The Night of Ideas has become a global event, promoting intellectual and cultural exchange worldwide with the support of French embassies via panel discussions and public debates featuring innovative formats.

After a two-year hiatus, the French Institute in Myanmar relaunched it in 2025 to encourage the participation and engagement of Myanmar civil society, especially the youth.

To this end, each evening is designed as a hybrid-format panel discussion conducted in the Burmese language. These discussions are marked and paced by artistic performances and media displays specially adapted to the occasion’s theme. This approach generates a multidimensional debate that goes beyond discussions, making the event an artistic experience as well.
