Institut français de Birmanie

Founded in 1961, l’Institut français de Birmanie (IFB), the French Institute in Myanmar, is a public establishment under the supervision of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of France. It is part of the French cultural network abroad, which is made up of 98 Instituts français and more than 830 Alliances françaises around the world.

to promote the French language and culture
to support artistic creations and cultural diversity
to promote higher education in France
