TCF (Test de connaissance de la langue française), the official French language proficiency test by the French Ministry of Education, is now available at the Institut français de Birmanie (IFB), Myanmar’s uniquely accredited exam centre.
The TCF is designed for individuals who wish to certify their level of French for:
The standard, flexible TCF for adults (16+) seeking general French certification for personal, professional, or academic purposes (e.g., university admission in France). Candidates can often choose which skills (listening, reading, language structure, writing, speaking) to be tested on.
Your official TCF certificate will remain valid for two years from the date your results are issued. This date will be clearly indicated on the certificate itself.
TCF is available at the Institut français de Birmanie (IFB), Myanmar’s uniquely accredited exam centre, throughout the year.
For candidates aged 16 and above whose first language is not French.
For individuals applying for economic immigration or Canadian citizenship via IRCC.
For candidates submitting immigration applications to Québec’s Ministry of Immigration (MIFI).
For foreign nationals aged 16+ applying for French nationality, long-term residence permits, and/or A1 level validation via OFII.
Payments may also be made in MMK. The exchange rate is based on the European Central Bank rate.
